BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Salvation Army Baton Rouge Corps will host The Shield of Hope Fundraiser at the Manship Theater on May 11.
This year, the non-profit is changing its annual fundraiser to make the evening more casual and include a live concert rather than having a speaker and dinner.
The Salvation Army and Regions Bank announced that the Grammy-award-winning group, Diamond Rio, will be the headliner.
The Shield of Hope Fundraiser is vital to The Salvation Army as a funding source as more and more of the community’s most vulnerable turn to The Salvation Army for assistance. Whether it’s for the basics, such as food and clothing, or more long-term help with drug or alcohol addiction, The Salvation Army is there to help. All the proceeds from The Shield of Hope Fundraiser will help The Salvation Army continue its mission.
