BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Easter falls on Sunday, April 9 this year.

The Farmers’ Almanac says Easter is described as a “movable feast,” meaning it doesn’t happen on the same date every year. The Christian holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ is most commonly celebrated on either March 31 or April 16.

Among all of the Easter bunny pictures, egg hunts and family events, there’s Easter Sunday to make plans for. Hop on over to one of several restaurants in Baton Rouge that will be hosting a holiday brunch, some paired with live entertainment or bunny visits.

Here’s where to get a Sunday Easter brunch in Baton Rouge.

BRQ Restaurant

This restaurant’s Easter brunch menu includes items like an avocado salmon toast, a decadent breakfast sandwich, crab cake benedict and more. If you’re bringing a group of four to seven, BRQ is offering an “Easter” Feed the Table for $175. Click here to see the full menu. Beausoleil

Enjoy a meal filled with Gulf Coast-inspired cuisine at Beausoleil. Menu offerings include Lobster + Waffles, Crab Cake Benedict, Shrimp & Grits, Lafourche Omelet and Blue Crab Claws. This Baton Rouge restaurant is known for its Chilled Seafood Towers. See the full menu here.

City Club of Baton Rouge

Brunch will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9. There will be an Easter Bunny to take pictures with the kids.

The menu includes boiled shrimp, grilled chicken, grillades, roasted duck breast, prime rib, fried fish and more.

“We look forward to welcoming all the families who have made it their yearly tradition to celebrate with us and all the families who will be making a new tradition this year,” the City Club of Baton Rouge said on Facebook.

Tickets will cost $70 for ages 14 and over, $30 for ages 6-13 and free to children 5 and younger. Reservations will be required. This event is open to all City Club members and invited guests.

Crowne Plaza Easter Buffet

There will be plenty to feast on at this Easter buffet. Menu offerings include seafood gumbo, an omelet and waffle station, a carving station, small bites, entrees, dessert and more. Tickets will be $75 for adults and $45 for children.

Easter Brunch at 18 STEAK

Located inside L’Auberge Casino, 18 STEAK will be offering an Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be live entertainment by John Gray Trio. Tickets will be $65 per person.

Elsie’s Plate & Pie

If you’re craving a menu full of comfort food, Elsie’s Plate & Pie is a perfect choice. The restaurant welcomes customers to come to dine on Sunday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Mid City restaurant offers sweet and savory pies, and Louisiana-inspired entrees like red beans and rice with fried chicken, seafood platters and a variety of sandwiches.

Leola’s Cafe and Coffee House

This Mid City eatery housed inside an antique shop is hosting its third annual Easter Bunny Brunch, and they’re going all out for the spring holiday. The restaurant said there will be a full menu service and Easter Bunny pictures for two days — Saturday, April 8, and Sunday, April 9.

The Gregory

Located inside the Watermark Hotel, this restaurant will be hosting a holiday buffet on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9. The menu includes cold and hot appetizers, soups, carving stations, salads and desserts.

Tickets are $55 per person and $16 for children younger than 12. Reservations are encouraged and can be made online or by calling 225-408-1800.
