BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — It’s finally summer for students and they are excited that school’s out, there’s no homework, and they can relax at home or enjoy summer activities.

According to a report, with Louisiana having the third-highest food insecurity rate in the United States, school programs, churches and other organizations have decided to host free breakfast and lunch for students in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
