BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — It’s finally summer for students and they are excited that school’s out, there’s no homework, and they can relax at home or enjoy summer activities.
According to a report, with Louisiana having the third-highest food insecurity rate in the United States, school programs, churches and other organizations have decided to host free breakfast and lunch for students in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. The meals are healthy and can help the students throughout the summer leading back up to the start of the school year.
We have created a list of places that are offering free meals for children.
