BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The relocation of bullpens and the construction of new field-level seats are on the agenda for the LSU Board of Supervisors Friday, Feb. 23 meeting.

LSU is looking for approval to lease portions of Alex Box Stadium to the Tiger Athletic Foundation to relocate home and visiting team bullpens to improve safety, construct 160 new field-level seating areas and make related improvements.

According to the proposal, the home team bullpen would be relocated under the right-field bleachers and the visiting team bullpen would be relocated behind a new field wall.

Costs are projected to be more than $1 million and construction completion would be on or before Feb. 1, 2025, according to the agenda.

If approved, the lease would go into effect on June 24, 2024, documents show.
