ATLANTA, Ga. (BRPROUD) – The Southern University Jaguars fell to rival Grambling State University 7- 3 in the SWAC tournament.

Fielding errors hampered the Jaguars all night. The team ended the game with four errors, some of which would end the inning.

Southern entered the tournament as the 3rd seed, while Grambling was the 1st seed.

The Southern pitchers did strike out eleven Grambling batters, but it wasn’t enough.

The Jaguars will face Bethune-Cookman in a double-elimination game Friday at noon. If Southern were to win, they would face Grambling again Friday evening at 6p.

Khyle Radcliffe did homer for the Jaguars and finished the game with two RBIs.
