Six new providers have joined Ochsner Baton Rouge:

Dr. Meredith Hitch is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. She earned an undergraduate degree from Sewanee The University of the South and a medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. Hitch completed an internship and residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital and a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital

Dr. Ericka Flood practices family medicine at Ochsner Health Center – Gonzales. After undergraduate studies at the University of New Orleans, she earned a medical degree in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Majid Jawad specializes in internal medicine at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. He earned a medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences. Jawad completed an internship at District of Columbia General Hospital and a residency at the Medical College of Ohio and additional training in pulmonary medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Dr. Patrick Delaney specializes in noninvasive cardiology at Ochsner Heart and Vascular Health Center – Hammond. He earned a medical degree from LSU Health School of Medicine in New Orleans. Delaney completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at LSU Charity Hospital and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Tulane University.

Brittany George is a nurse practitioner specializing in treating diabetes at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. She earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University and a master’s in nursing from the University of South Alabama.

Trista Kramer is a physician assistant specializing in neurosurgery at Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge. She earned bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southeastern University of Louisiana and a master’s in physician assistant studies from Xavier University of Louisiana.

Suzanne H. Wood has been appointed to the board of directors for H&E Equipment Services.

Wood has held executive roles with a number of construction related companies, including Vulcan Materials, Ashtead Group, Sunbelt Rentals and Oakwood Homes Corporation.

She also serves on the board of directors and is chair of the audit committee of Ferguson, a leading distributor of plumbing and heating products in North America.

NEW ORLEANS

Gina Adams and John Black have been elected to the Entergy board of directors.

Adams has 38 years of legal and government affairs experience. She currently serves as corporate vice president of government and regulatory affairs for FedEx. Before that, she spent 8 years with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

She earned a bachelor’s in public affairs from American University, a law degree from Howard University and a master’s of law from Georgetown University.

Black has 40 years experience in accounting, including serving as a partner at Arthur Andersen & Co. and Deloitte & Touche. He specialized in serving companies in the power and utilities industry, where he gained particular expertise in accounting issues associated with nuclear energy operations.

He earned a bachelor’s in economics from Duke University.

Dr. Stefan C. Grant has been named deputy director of the Louisiana Cancer Research Center.

Grant is a thoracic medical oncologist with experience leading clinical trial operations and intellectual property development in National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Centers. He previously served as a professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and as associate director for clinical trial operations within the Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. Before that, he was medical director of the Hematology Oncology Clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

He earned a medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and completed postgraduate training in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Grant completed his residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He earned a law degree from Fordham University School of Law and a master’s in business from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Collat School of Business.

Sven Davisson has been named associate director of administration of the cancer research center. He has been chief administrative officer of the center since 2015,

Dr. Valentine N. Nfonsam has been appointed to the research center’s board of directors. He is department head of surgery for LSU Health New Orleans. His research has focused on colorectal cancer, especially in young patients, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor disorders.
