LSU men’s basketball player Jalen Cook suspended, Matt McMahon says

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — LSU men’s basketball head coach Matt McMahon says guard Jalen Cook was suspended in Monday’s news conference.

BRProud sports reporter Sara Palczewski posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Cook was suspended after failing to meet team requirements set by the head coach. McMahon said Cook’s availability will be reevaluated day to day.

According to ESPN, Cook hasn’t played since Feb. 13.

The LSU Tigers beat Vanderbilt, 75-61, Saturday.

“The win pushed LSU to 16-14 on the season and 8-8 in the SEC entering the final week of the regular season,” LSU Athletics said.

Next, the LSU Tigers will face Arkansas at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.
