The trail markers, funded and installed by the Rotary Club, will guide visitors through the sanctuary, ensuring a more enjoyable and informative experience. These markers will contribute to the safety of visitors along with the existing educational tools, providing valuable information about the local flora, fauna and the significance of conservation efforts.
Justin Champlin, president of the Rotary Club of Greater Ascension, said, “We are thrilled to contribute to the enhancement of the Amite River Wildlife Sanctuary. Nature is a source of inspiration and education, and the Rotary Club of Greater Ascension is committed to supporting initiatives that make it more accessible to our community.
“These trail markers will not only guide visitors but also serve as a reminder of the importance of preserving our natural treasures for future generations,” he said.
